Q: How much does it
cost? /
Tuition
A: The
Academy works with the parents to set the lowest possible
tuition rates while providing quality education. The cost for
field trips and additional personal items (such as uniforms,
backpacks, etc.) is not part of the tuition and is the
responsibility of the parents. In an effort to improve billing
and collection process, tuition rates are divided into five
independent tiers or levels:

Q: What is the
parent's role at the Academy?
A: Researchers and practitioners have long
acknowledged a strong link between parent involvement and
children's success in school. the Academy School encourages
parent involvement because it increases student achievement,
enhances self-esteem, improves behavior, and better school
attendance.
Parents feedback on the school programs, policies,
procedures and overall performance is highly valuable. They
are invited to work with the teachers and the administrative
staff to address the academic, social and emotional needs of
their children.

- Nabatieh is
an ideal location for the school because it has easy access
to major roads and at a short distance from major population
centers in South Lebanon.

students from all over South Lebanon come every day to
attend nearby specialty schools. The Lebanese University
campus draws students from cities as far Hasbaya, Tyre and
Bint-Jbeil.
- Bus
services will be provided at an affordable charge from the
surrounding towns and currently available busses will bring
in additional students from farther away areas..
- The school
will use safe school buses similar to those used in Canada.
The driver will be English-speaking and ensure the safe
back-and-forth trip for all students. He will have a phone
and a phone list to contact parents if necessary.

Q: Lebanese
Community Abroad Current Situation -
Summary
of the Current Situation
-
Our children go to Public schools. They are affected
sometimes beyond repair by the Western life-style, peer
pressure and weak moral values.
-
Some of us send their children to mediocre so-called
?Religious schools? that offer inferior education to our
children. Many of these children tend to believe that every
thing traditional is inferior by nature. At any point in
time these children will revolt with disastrous
consequences.
-
Very few of us can afford the more respected
traditional religious schools.
- Humble
efforts are being made through week-end schools to limit the
damage and to provide the children with basic
religious education
and the Arabic language.
- A large number of families
living in the West are faced with tremendous challenge
regarding their children education and up-bringing. All
statistics indicate that children educated in the west adopt
the western values and abandon their connection with Lebanon
and its culture. These parents wait for too long before they
realize that their children have reached the no-return
point. Then it is too late to fix it. Most parents are
willing to return with their children to Lebanon, however
they either can not afford the western-based schools or
their children end up loosing at the average a couple of
years by being placed at lower grades. Traditional Islamic
schools abroad are either too expensive, too weak or don't
even exist.
